Overview of Monterey Bay

Monterey Bay is a coastal region located two hours south of San Francisco that encompasses the communities of Monterey, Pacific Grove, Seaside and Carmel By the Sea. The region is virtually untouched by any form of commercialized interests that leaves the area a nature lover's haven and a geographic layout ideal for golfing and exploring. Monterey Bay has several coastal highways that hang off the side of jagged cliffs giving drivers breath taking views of the Pacific. The golf scene is said to be some of the best in the world. Cannery Row, made famous by author John Steinbeck is one of the main attractions with the Monterey Bay Aquarium at its center.
