Monterey Bay offers visitors an abundance of choices in activities. The region is famous for having some of best golf courses in the world. Nature lovers will love the windy two lane highways that straddle jagged cliffs above the oceans as well as whale watching. The natural beauty of the region gives way to beautiful bike and walking paths that follow the shoreline and expose walker and bikers alike to tide pools, quaint towns and forests.

Those not down for driving the many scenic highways of Monterey Bay-hop on the Monterey Movie Tour Bus. Departs from Downtown Monterey-the tour includes not just the stunning coastline views but the trivia of the movies filmed there as well.
Monterey Bay has some of the best whale watching opportunities in the world. Vessels depart Old Fisherman's Wharf daily and are lead by expert guides. All year round different species of whales pass the entrance of Monterey Bay on their migratory routes.
Those not looking to explore the waterfron via the many scenic drives, there is the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail that allows for exploration by foot or bicycle.
The 17 Mile Drive is a windy two lane highway that snakes along the ragged cliffs that hang over the Pacific Ocean. With dozens of stopping points and Pebble Beach in between, the 17 Mile Drive is one of the most scenic drives in California.
If you do nothing else on a visit to Monterey Bay, try to do the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Whether there for an hour or the day its exhibits are inspiring, beautiful and full of information and education.
Monterey Bay is world famous for its collection of spectacular golf resorts. Many of these resorts are perched on cliffs over looking the Pacific Ocean, are known to be challenging and host some of the biggest annual tournaments.
