Overview of San Francisco
San Francisco is not for the faint of heart or for those who prefer to “color within the lines”. Known as the city by the bay, San Francisco is perched at the tip of a peninsula and surrounded on three sides by water. The city has a whimsical, almost random Alice and Wonderland fairy tale vibe. San Francisco is a melting pot of artists, musicians, hippies, yuppies and countless ethnicities. Home to a vibrant tech industry, the city’s famous hilly streets are dotted with bright colored Victorian houses-many having spectacular bay and bridge views. Locales share a strong liberal vibe, are hardcore foodies and love their wine. The city is small, but its heart is huge and can be at times overwhelming.
